Audition Info for the 2025-26 Yale Concert Band (MUSI 1190)

The 2025-26 Yale Concert Band (MUSI 1190) will rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning Tuesday, September 2, from 4:05 to 6:15 PM in the Keith L. Wilson Band Room, 301 Hendrie Hall in the Adams Center for Musical Arts, 165 Elm Street. 

Auditions:
(10:00 audition slot)

August 27, 2025, 10:00 am-4:00 pm
August 28, 2025, 10:00 am-4:00 pm

Rm 301 Hendrie Hall in the Adams Center for Musical Arts, 165 Elm St.

The audition will be threefold:

1. Required audition piece.

Follow tempo markings on the part.  If you cannot play as fast as the recording, play as fast as you can play well.

2. Prepared solo piece. Prepare up to 5 minutes of a solo piece for your instrument (e.g., an All-State audition piece or comparable etude).

3. Sight reading. There will be some sight reading.
