Shannon Yasuda, BK ‘20

Shannon hails from the great borough of Staten Island, New York.  A STEM student at heart, she graduated from Staten Island Technical High School before attending Yale.

Prior to wielding the whiteboard and directing traffic around the Band, Shannon trained in lifting heavy weights as an equipment manager. Even before that she picked up delicious snacks and fed the flutes as an Upper Woodwinds section leader.

When she isn’t dancing at the helm of the YPMB, or wielding the mighty whiteboard, she’s probably building off building the first Iron Man suit. One of the few surviving CS majors, when Shannon isn’t with the YPMB, she is probably doing research with robots in a robotics lab.

Shannon loves answering emails, and she really loves talking about the Band, so feel free to contact her at shannon.yasuda@yale.edu with any questions!
