Yale Concert Band "Pre-Commute Mini-Concert" for the Yale Community

Yale Concert Band, Thomas C. Duffy, Music Director.
Our students want you to hear them play in the Yale Concert Band, without you having to come back to campus after a long day of work! Announcing the “Pre-Commute Mini-Concert” on Tuesday, February 21 at 5:15 p.m. – a 45-minute free concert in Woolsey Hall at the end of the work day.

Yale Jazz Combos Fall Showcase

Need a study break or just a shot of good jazz? Come hear the Yale Jazz Ensemble Fall Combos present their fall showcase. The Legacy and Modern Combos are coached by Wayne Escoffery and promise a night of great music!
OPEN TO ALL ASYMPTOMATIC, FULLY VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS. Proof of vaccination and matching photo ID will be required at the door. House opens at 7 pm.

Yale Jazz Ensemble Big Band, Wayne Escoffery, Music Director. Celebrating the centennial of the birth of bassist and composer Charles Mingus, one of the most important composers in jazz and the first African American musician to have the entire body of his work acquired by the Library or Congress.
Featuring Mingus hits “Nostalgia in Times Square,” “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat,” “Moanin’,” and more. With guests Teddy Horangic on vocals and Alaman Diadhiou on vocals and tap dance.
