Rob Shiau ‘97
From the quiet New Jersey suburbs came a thundering force, and that force was Rob Shiau. Aside from knowing more about Scotch than any man this side of Glasgow, Rob led the band through a triumphant 96-97 season that not only entertained Yale crowds, but also the First Lady of the United States. “Roberto,” as his friends enjoyed calling him, was also a genuine, kind-hearted man, known to drive band members with appendicitis to the emergency room at 2 AM the night before a game.
