Thomas C. Duffy, Music Director. Yale’s one and only “big band” will feature the premiere of its latest commission, “Dale Pa’lante” – a contemporary Latin jazz stunner by New Haven bassist and Yale alumnus Jeff Fuller, as well as big band blues, straight-ahead swing, jazz ballads, and soulful post-bop music by Thad Jones, Count Basie, Hoagy Carmichael, Earle Hagen, and Samuel Adams.

Honeycomb by Cody Brookshire, in which the audience joins the performance through audio files mapped to their cell phones, enabling them to “play” in synchronicity with the live ensemble; Symphony in Bb (Paul Hindemith); Children’s March (Percy A.
