Betsy Golden, ES ‘01
Betz will be proudly leading the YPMB into Yale’s tercentennial season. She’s a natural for the job - her time in the band has been marked by unfettered style and panache, as evidenced by that time she fell down the Davenport stairs with a snare drum on. A Connecticut-born redhead with enough energy to power most Third World nations, her rise to YPMB leadership is foretold in a previously untranslated portion of the Rosetta Stone. Standing a whopping five foot three inches tall, Betz is quite possibly the shortest Drum Major in the Ivy League. (We suspect this is why she likes the podium so much.)
